The SHINE Initiative Announces 2018 Grant Cycle

FORT WORTH – The SHINE Initiative, entering a decade of service to girls and women in 2018, released through its website their 2018 Rise and SHINE Grant Program applications to help fund nonprofit organizations in Tarrant County. The purpose of these grants is to encourage and equip service providers to expand or introduce program offerings for local girls and women in SHINE’s five key areas of focus: Safety, Health, Inspiration, Nurturing, and Education. SHINE believes one of the best ways to create more compassionate communities is to ensure girls and women shine.

“As we approach a decade of sharing the message that all girls and women should be safe, healthy, inspired, nurtured, and educated, we are excited to see who our 2018 Rise and SHINE Grant Program partners will be!" said Staci Kirpach, founder of The SHINE Initiative.

SHINE funds broad-based inclusive initiatives that impact the overall well-being of girls and women in their five identified focus areas. Registered 501(c)3 tax-exempt nonprofit organizations in Tarrant County are encouraged to apply for funding beginning Monday, January 22, 2018 at www.madetoshine.com. Applications are due to THE SHINE Initiative on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 5:00 p.m.

The SHINE Initiative's mission is to ensure that girls and women are Safe, Healthy, Inspired, Nurtured, and Educated. When these five components of life come together in a positive way, they build a solid foundation for a person to live more fully with purpose. In short, SHINE encourages girls and women to live lives that shine.
