The Arise and SHINE Grant Program encourages and equips nonprofit organizations s to further their program offerings for girls and women in our five key areas of focus: Safety, Health, Inspiration, Nurturing, and Education.

Rise and SHINE Grant Program

The Rise and SHINE Grant Program provides funding for nonprofit organizations in Tarrant County. The purpose of these grants is to encourage and equip service providers to expand or introduce program offerings for local girls and women in our five key areas of focus: Safety, Health, Inspiration, Nurturing, and Education.  Registered 501(c)3 tax-exempt nonprofit organizations are eligible to apply for funding.

The SHINE Initiative is excited to introduce our 2017 Rise and SHINE Grant Award Recipients:

SAFETY:

SafeHaven of Tarrant County - "Safe Dates" Teen Violence Prevention Program

HEALTH: 

Texas Health Resources Foundation - "Wellness for Life" Mobile Health Program

INSPIRATION:

Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Fort Worth - "Lunch with the Girls"

NURTURING:

Gladney Center for Adoption - "Rest & Respite" Program

EDUCATION:

Girls Inc. of Tarrant County - "Boost!" College and Career Readiness Program
